I.B., illegal immigrant, was paid to sit on a chair during an open house, holding up a leaflet from the Belgian party Vlaams Belang (”Flemisch Interest”). The leaflet displays “Ik (hartje) VL” (I (heart) Flanders).
Vlaams Belang is an anti-immigration far right-wing political party, that advocates Flemisch independence and strict limits on immigration, whereby immigrants would be obliged to adopt Flemish culture and language. Vlaams Belang rejects multiculturalism.

Local residents of Rabot, one of the most deprived districts of Belgium were invited to offer a gold fish to their new neighbour: the new and fancy Court Palace of Ghent. A present to the modern, somewhat alien, new building and its inhabitants. Two hundred residents placed a fish in the pool. The staff of the Court was asked to take good care of the fish and of the neighbourhood.

Bruges la Morte (The Dead City of Bruges) is a novel by the Belgian author Georges Rodenbach, published in 1892. It tells the story of a widower overcome with grief, who takes refuge in Bruges, where he becomes obsessed with an actress/prostitute who is the exact likeness and of his dead wife. The book is notable for its poetic evocation of the decaying city and for its innovative form: Rodenbach interspersed his text with dozens of black-and-white photographs of Bruges.

The book produced a lot of negative responses of rage and anger in Bruges at the time, but it also brought the first tourists to the city. As a result, the city overcame it’s economical and financial problems.

Now, 118 years later, Bruges is entirely focussed on tourists and has become nothing less then a mideaval theme park. The city has become the exact likeness of the mideaval city it once was. A prostitute for tourists.
I declare Bruges dead again.

On Thursday, March 25 1858, Maria Bernada Soubirous (Bernadette of Lourdes) asked: “Would you be so kind as to tell me who you are?” The answer finally came: “I am the Immaculate Conception.”
According to the Roman Catholic dogma, the immaculate conception is the conception of Mary without any stain of original sin, in her mother’s womb: the dogma says that, from the first moment of her existence, she was preserved by God from the lack of sanctifying grace that afflicts mankind, and that she was instead filled with divine grace. It is further believed that she lived a life completely free from sin. Her immaculate conception in the womb of her mother, by sexual intercourse, should not be confused with the doctrine of the virginal conception of her son Jesus.

Beiing the son of the immaculate concepted Mary, Jesus himself died by public execution, for his own numberous sins: He went against God’s rules concerning the Sabbath (John 5: 8-11 & Luke 13:10-16), he acts against God’s rules on adultery (John 8: 4-11), he ignored God’s dietry laws (Marc 7: 15), etc… He said “I will also kill her children” (revelations 2:23), he said “Why do you call me good, no one is good but God alone” (Mark: 10:18), etc… Since God, the father of Jesus is Immutable (No change is possible to God, because God is absolute perfection) he must have inherited the ability to sin from his mothers side. Therefore when Jesus mother says “I am the Immaculate Conception”, she was flagrantly lying. For deceiving her own son, and thereby contributing to his ignorance resulting in his sins and eventually in his painful dead.
